A family owned transport business is expanding their Finance team and as such, we have this exciting opportunity for an experienced finance assistant to further their career within a reputable company.

This position will involve office working hours, we can be flexible for individual requirements.  It may suit someone who is thinking about undertaking the IATI qualification or is already doing so.



The day to day role will involve:


  • Inputting of purchase invoices
  • Running sales invoices (this may be from a TMS)
  • Ensuring customers get invoices and PODs
  • Some debt collection
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Other finance function reconciliations
  • Month end procedures
  • Other admin duties as required



  • 2 years' experience in a similar position
  • Previous experience in using Sage Accounts
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Maths & English GCSE at Grade B and 3 other GCSE's at Grade C or above
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in transport environment would be an advantage but is not essential
